With impressive numbers both in the classroom and on the field, Florida Southern's Karlyn Scott is the 2011-12 Sunshine State Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
A senior from Crawfordville who is majoring in biology with a perfect 4.00 grade point average, Scott was a CoSIDA/Capital One First-Team Academic All-American this season and the only SSC player selected for softball. She was the FSC Scholar-Athlete for softball for the third straight year.
